Good morning! Okay, to start this off, I would like to say I'm sorry for being non-existent for a while. I had a very busy few weeks and that will continue for a couple more weeks at least, but I will try to post more. I was on vacation for the past week and had no access to a computer so there was no way I could post. It was terrible.
I don't know if it's a zillion degrees where you're reading this, but the temperature is supposed to get to 104 here today! When it's that hot out, I don't recommend even leaving the house haha. Sitting in the air conditioning is fine for me. But if you do have to leave the house, I recommend a sheer top. If I'm being completely honest, it doesn't have to be 104 for me to wear a sheer top, just warm enough that I won't freeze to death. I have about a zillion sheer tops and I love them! I wear them mostly with shorts and skinnies, but you can wear them with just about anything if you do it tastefully. I normally wear mine with a bandeau underneath, or a cami, depending on the occasion. They are a major staple in my wardrobe right now. So there you have it, my take on sheer tops. Best. Thing. Ever! I hope you all figure out a way to stay cool today wherever you are!
xoxo, Morgan
p.s. I know it's like 6 pm and it says good morning at the top of this. I started it in the morning, whoops! :)

The best part of waking up is coffee in this cup! (Folger's pun!)
I would like to share with you one of my new favorite things. My day is automatically brightened when I get to drink my coffee out of this gem!
Now, isn't that the most beautiful mug you've ever seen?! I don't live on a farm so I don't have a reason to love cows. This mug isn't even really very pretty, it's just quirky and weird and therefore I basically have to love it. I can't even get over how much I love this thing. I don't even really know why I love it. I can only imagine that if someone in real life saw me drinking from this thing, they would never stop laughing at me. But, I'm okay with that. I'm sorry that this post has absolutely nothing to do with fashion, beauty (except for the beauty of this cup), or exercise; but I will get back to that soon. Promise. And spoiler alert: my next post will probably involve sheer shirts :) I hope you all have a beautiful night!

Swollen eyes are NOT beautiful!
I'm sorry I've been terrible at this lately. I have had a chaotic week! I probably need to start writing these posts ahead of time so when I have a hectic week I can just choose a pre-written one and post it. I am so smart sometimes when I'm not actually trying. That was a fantastic idea and I'm not quite sure why I never thought of it before. Maybe I'll start doing that...maybe. This post is going to be very random. If you don't want to read random, then I suggest you go to a different page now. But, really I don't want you to go away so please stay? Pretty please?
My week started with an interview for basically my dream job. It was very exciting. I had to drive to Chicago, which is 4 hours away, and back home all in the same day. It was a very tiring day. But then, yesterday I found out that I didn't get the job. I cried a little bit (moment of vulnerability, sorry) then I decided to read a blog that always makes me laugh. I was reading a post called How to be Happy, Reclaim your Youth and Also Vanquish a Centaur *HINT*: Bacon is Involved and it told me to jump on my bed. So I did that. And then I went for a run (there's my exercise part of this post). And after that I read more old posts on Hyperbole and a Half. And I was in a fantastic mood. Not because I wasn't sad anymore, but because I started thinking about other things and how sometimes they suck, but sometimes they're okay. I still would love to have the job, but if it's not in the cards, it's not in the cards. I can't change that I guess. Everything happens for a reason. Except bee stings. There is no reason for a bee sting.
I was laying outside today because it was lovely. I was trying to get tan and beautiful. Before you scold me, I know that laying outside in the sun and getting a tan is not healthy and people are against it, but I feel prettier when I am tan, so there! Well anyway, I was laying there relaxing and listening to music and having a lovely time by myself and then I got stung on my eyelid by a bee! WTF?! Swollen eyes are not beautiful. I can't even lay outside by myself and be beautiful without screwing it up!
Also, I want to dye my hair. I wrote that in a post about a month ago and I never actually did it because I forgot to. Maybe I didn't really forget to, I just couldn't decide on a color. And I still can't. And this is the reason for my stress right now. It's a terribly difficult decision and I don't want to make it. I keep asking other people what they think I should do. But other people say things like "Oh, you'll look great no matter what color your hair is" (which isn't actually true, and "Hmm that's a tough decision, I really don't know" (which I feel is a cop out, they don't want to make me feel bad). Either way, I still don't know what color. I really just want to know lighter or darker. I feel like I would like to go darker, but lighter is more summery. I just don'y like my hair when it's lighter. I feel like it's 2007 when my hair is lighter. But here's the deal, it's not 2007. I think I may have just made my very own decision. I can't believe it. Maybe if I talk over all my decisions like this with myself I would be able to make these decisions. Hmm definitely something to think about.
Okay, I think this is where I should end because you guys are probably sick of reading all this by now. Hell, you were probably sick of reading it a long time ago, but you stuck by me. Maybe. Well if you didn't stick by me, you won't know that I said that anyway so it doesn't really matter. So I hope you enjoyed this incredibly random post filled with basically nothing but everything all at the same time.

OOOOWWWWWWW!
I'm contemplating giving up exercising! Okay, not really, but I just dropped a 10 pound weight on my foot. Not like by my toes (which also would have been painful) but the part up closer to my ankle (and let me just say now that I have bony feet). Well there's a bone there that kind of sticks up higher than the rest of my foot and I dropped the weight right on top of it! It hurts sooooo badly! So if anyone out there is working out, be very careful! I mean very careful! Don't drop weights on your feet, or any other part of your body, because it hurts very badly. It may make you consider giving up exercise, but don't do it! It is an essential part of life and everyone should do it. But nobody should drop weights on themselves! I'm sorry that this is mostly rambling and probably the worst post I've written, but I am still in very much pain. I'm probably blacking out right now from the pain and I don't know I'm writing this. But then I wouldn't know that I didn't know, so I suppose that's probably not the case. Either way, I apologize for my rambling. I hope you have a fantastic night! Goodnight lovelies!

Beauty Icon: Charlize Theron
Let me just start by saying Charlize Theron is one of my style icons. She is so beautiful and it doesn't whether she is caught by paparazzi on a random day or at a huge event. She always looks classy and knows how to dress well for her body. She has two new movies coming out Snow White and The Huntsman and Prometheus so she is even more in the public eye at the moment. I have always loved her and then I saw her last night on Conan. After seeing her on Conan last night, I love her even more. Not only is she beautiful and classy, I now know she is hilarious! She was so funny on the show and so down to earth. I strongly suggest you look it up on teamcoco.com or I'm sure it would probably be on youtube. Either way, she is amazing. But since she is one of my faves I'm going to show you a few of my favorite looks from her.
This is a recent photo from her promotional tour for Snow White and The Huntsman.

Ok, now I'm done girl crushing! If you are ever having trouble finding style inspiration for an event or even a random Tuesday, I suggest looking to Ms. Theron. Have a beautiful Wednesday!

Hello Cutie Pie!
I bet you thought from that title there was going to be some sort of pie recipe huh? Well, there's not. Sorry. I'm writing late tonight to make up for not being able to write tomorrow...not sure that makes sense, but oh well. I will be spending the day and night at the Brewers game tomorrow for my grandparents' 50th anniversary. Isn't that crazy? 50 years?! That's just insane. And they are honestly the best grandparents I could ask for. I feel like a very lucky girl to 1. have such wonderful grandparents and 2. still have them around. So, here is your lesson for today: If your grandparents are still around, tell them how lucky you are to have them. They'll appreciate hearing it and feel so loved, and that should be the point of everything I think, to make others feel happy and loved.
I haven't decided what to wear tomorrow, but I will decide and I will try to take lots of pictures and hopefully I'll get at least a few good ones so I can show you. I'm very bad about posting pictures of myself and I'm very sorry for that. It's really only because I don't have anyone around to take pictures when I get ready for the day and by the time I'm around other people I completely forget about the pictures...whoops! But, tomorrow I will try very hard. Just for you!
So go tell your grandparents how much you love them and how lucky you are to have them (and everyone else you feel that way about, for that matter). And have a beautiful Saturday, you deserve it beautiful!
xoxo, Morgan

I'm alive!
Ok, so I'm not dead, I've just been busy and I'm so sorry I had to leave you for so long. But, I'm back now! Isn't that exciting?! I thought so! I did a tiny bit of shopping this weekend and I found a couple very cute summer things. I bought a pair of green/aqua shorts from American Eagle and a cute laid back, cross body bag from Maurice's. I very rarely find anything from Maurice's because it's just not my style. But, my boyfriend's mom got me a few things from there for my birthday and I didn't love them. All I could get for them was store credit so I looked around and finally found this cute bag.
That's the bag. I'm loving it because it's neutral, so I can wear it with just about anything. It's also crossbody, which I'm way into right now because it's so easy to carry around. No hands necessary to hold this bag. Know what that means? My hands are open for drinks :) I'm ok with that. Great summer bag!
And those are my lovely new shorts. I'm so looking forward to wearing them! They are the perfect color and they fit fantastically! I am very excited about these. So many outfit options! Ok, I'll stop gushing about them now.
I hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend and I hope you all have a great rest of your week! Have a fantastic night!

Sunny Sunday
Happy Sunday lovelies! I hope you all had a wonderful Saturday! I know I did. The dance recital was beautiful yesterday! There were a lot of really awesome dances and great music. Enough about that though. Yesterday, I made the most delicious fruit dip ever! I have no idea if I invented it or not, I pretty much just threw some random stuff together and it turned out delicious. It was one single serving container of plain greek yogurt, about 3 tablespoons of brown sugar and a drizzle of honey. I didn't really measure the ingredients, so those are approximations. But it was absolutely fantastic and I think you should try it! I hope you all have a beautiful Sunday! Enjoy the last day of your weekend! Get out and spend the day outside in the beautiful weather!

Happy Saturday!
Good morning beautiful! Yesterday was such a lazy day! I felt terrible, it's the first day I haven't worked out in a while. I still went on my 4 mile walk, but that's just not enough. Oh well I guess, I probably needed a break. I've already gone on my walk today and I need to do yoga and maybe a 30 day shred workout. I have so much working out to do and not enough time to do it because I'm going to my cousin's dance recital tonight! I'm so excited. She is such a beautiful girl and a great dancer. Bonus: her recitals always have the BEST music! Also, my other cousin (her little sister) is the cutest! So, I'm sorry this is such a short post, but I have to go get all my work outs in so I have some time to spend outside on this beautiful day before I get to go see my cousins! I hope you all have a wonderful Saturday! It's beautiful outside so spend some time in the sun and, most of all, HAVE FUN!

Nails!
Hello pretty ladies! It's been a while since I've done a beauty post so I decided to do one today! I found something great on Pinterest yesterday. Instead of trying to use tape as a guide for your french manicure, use paper hole reinforcements. They already have the round shape that you need and they are super easy to use and super cheap!
Secondly, I didn't get the Essie Shine of the Times for my birthday, I bought it for myself! :) I still haven't used it because I've been too busy to paint my nails. Isn't that terrible? Who doesn't have time to paint their nails? It's an incredibly sad story. Feel free to feel bad for me. Oh, I'm only kidding! I plan on painting my nails tomorrow. I've actually managed to set time aside for it. I can't wait. I was thinking of using it with Essie Dive Bar, it's a very dark blue with a tiny hint of green/turquoise. Now I'm thinking it's maybe a bit too dark. Maybe I'll use a bit lighter color. I will decide tomorrow!
I need to go do yoga now. I have no energy, but I'm making myself do it. I'll only regret it in the morning if I don't do it. So goodnight all you lovely ladies. Hope you have a beautiful night and a wonderful tomorrow.

Quickie!
Get your mind out of the gutter ladies! I just mean this will be a quick post. I will get back to the real deal tomorrow. I had such a crazy and fun weekend! It was so good to be back with all my friends and celebrate their big day with them! And then there was Mother's Day! My mom, sister, and I went to my grandparents' house and my great-grandmother was there. We had a cookout and the weather was beautiful! Such a great way to celebrate my wonderful mom and my fantastic grandma and great-grandma. My sister gave me my birthday present yesterday because she forgot it when she came to celebrate my birthday and that is where the real post comes in. She got me a yoga mat and the Jillian Michaels Yoga Meltdown DVD. I tried it yesterday and today and... I. LOVE. IT! It's such a fantastic workout and it is also very calming! I have done it twice and it is already my new favorite workout! It's wonderful. I definitely recommend it. So go out and buy it. It will kick your butt and help you relax at the same time. But most of all, have fun! Working out doesn't have to be terrible. Make it fun so you're more likely to do it every day! Enjoy your yoga!

Hello Lovely!
Hi there pretty lady! I hope you've had a beautiful Thursday, I know mine was incredibly uneventful. I will be off to visit my friends this weekend for their graduation and I am SO excited! I am so proud of them all. They are beautiful, wonderful, smart, stunning, hilarious ladies and I could not possibly be happier that we have been friends for 4 years of college. Since I haven't actually decided what to wear yet, I'm going to share the outfit that I wish I was wearing :)
Marc Jacobs leather clutch
$495 - barneys.com
Isn't this beautiful?! I love the purple skirt with the yellow clutch! Stunning. Now, I just need to own all these gorgeous pieces, which probably will never happen. I don't see anything wrong with dreaming though ;) Maybe if you're lucky, I'll show you what I actually decide to wear on Saturday. I guess we'll just have to wait and find out. Have a wonderful night lovelies!

Wanted Wednesday
I know my birthday is over (and it was fantastic, of course) but I am still in the mood for making wish lists so I will make another for you today. With summer coming, I just can't stop finding things that I'm pretty sure I need. And why not? There is absolutely no reason for me to stop wishing.
1. Aerie Vintage Lace Bandeau - They are super cute to layer under tanks or anything you really. They come in basic neutral colors and in fun neon colors that are great for summertime or if you want to add some spice to a neutral outfit. Bonus: Super Cheap! 7.50 each! I'll take one in every color!

2. American Eagle Cutout Heart Crop Tank - This tank is adorable for summer. The gray is a bit calm for summer so you can liven it up a bit by adding the bandeau under it in one of the neon colors! Or you can wear the white or sand color to keep it neutral. Either way, I need this top! Bonus: Also super cheap! :)
3. Zara Basic Sandal - These shoes are amazing! The color blocking is great for summer. They come in basic black and a few other colors so you can buy them to go with every outfit! They look fantastic with anything. And they're only $50!
That's all I can lust after for tonight. I might be motivated enough to go buy all these things tomorrow. I don't see why I shouldn't have anything I've ever dreamed of ;) And you deserve it all too! Have fun shopping!

Mani Monday + MY BIRTHDAY!
Hello pretty ladies! Guess what... as you may have guessed by the title of today's post, IT'S MY BIRTHDAY! My birthday is by far my favorite day of the year! What's my least favorite day you ask? May 8th. The day after my birthday. It's so disappointing. It's like Christmas afternoon after all the presents have been opened and you have to clean up the wrapping paper. It's just anticlimactic compared to my birthday, and that is why I dislike it so very much.
I'm not really doing a mani today, but I am going to post a few nail polish colors that I'm in love with at the moment.
1. Essie Bazooka - It's such a pretty spring color. It's almost the same color as the shirt I'm wearing today :)

2. Essie Mesmerized - This bright blue is perfect! Even though this is a bright blue, you can wear it with a lot of different things.
3. Zoya Mitzi - This one is great because it's bright and fun, but it's also a matte finish polish. I love matte finish polishes. They're just kind of unexpected and a nice change from the usual high shine.
4. NARS Bright Tomato Red - Is this not the perfect red?! I love it. That's really all I have to say.
Ok, that's all I have for today. I have to get back to my birthday festivities! I hope you all have a wonderful day. And get a mani, you deserve it!

Happy Cinco de Mayo!
Hello lovely readers! How is your Cinco de Mayo?! I hope it's going wonderfully! Mine has been lovely. I know I don't normally write about movies, but my boyfriend and I went to see The Avengers today. I'm not a comic book nut or anything, but he is. I have seen the Iron Man movies and Captain America and a lot of super hero movies and enjoyed them, so I was expecting to enjoy The Avengers. I was definitely NOT disappointed! I was only expecting to enjoy it, not be blown away by it. It is safe to say it is now in my top 5 favorite movies. It was fantastic. I may have to actually start reading comic books ;) I was wanting to see The Hunger Games too, but I don't think my belly could handle two movies in one day. All that popcorn does not do a body good. I got my workout in for the day though, so they cancel out right? Ha, I don't think I'm that lucky. Maybe I'll work out twice as long tomorrow. I will have to gather the motivation tomorrow because I definitely didn't have the energy for two sessions today.
I am sorry I have been so busy lately and haven't been able to post every day. I will get my act together, hopefully tomorrow. I will get more posts out to you, I swear.
So, Monday is my birthday! My birthday is the most exciting day of my entire year. I absolutely love it! This year it's on a Monday so it's not as exciting, but I am determined to make it fantastic. I am going to get going for tonight, but I hope you all have a wonderful night!

Sorry!
I'm so sorry I've been absent the past few days! I've been busy and I haven't felt well for the past few days. Not fun stuff. I feel terrible that I haven't posted anything new though. Anyway, let's get to it. My birthday is coming up and I am going to make a wishlist of things I want. Feel free to send them my way if you're feeling generous! ;) Of course, I'm only kidding. I wouldn't expect you to give me anything!
1. Essie Luxe Effects Shine of the Times - Topping off the list is Essie Nail polish. Their Luxe Effects line is gorgeous and I wouldn't mind getting all of the colors in that line, I mean who doesn't love a little glitter here and there. But my fave is Shine of the Times. It's this beautiful holographic-esque, irridescent glitter that basically changes its look depending on what shade you put it over. So gorge!
2. Wedges - I have not yet found the perfect pair, but I'm thinking something espadrille. I had a beautiful pair of wedges a few years ago, and I got some good use out of them. They are now in shoe heaven. I'm looking for something with an ankle strap, and a neutral color. I'm thinking the Audrey Brooke Eddie Wedge Sandal at DSW is beautiful if it weren't for the nude being patent. I would like something more casual. That way I can dress it up or down. I will keep searching until I find just the right ones, and trust me, you will know when I do!
3. Armani Code by Giorgio Armani - Beautiful fragrance. I am looking for something new. I have never owned it before. Therefore, I need it. End of story.
4. An oversize clutch - I saw a lovely snake print clutch that had a removable strap at JCPenney. I would use it mostly without the strap, probably, but when I didn't think I would have the option of holding onto it all night, I could use the strap and just carry it on my shoulder. And the snake print could be dressed up or down. It sure was lovely, but not perfect. I am looking for perfection. A little more oversize than that one was. As you can probably tell so far, I am hard to please when it comes to fashion. It must be perfect.
5. A job! - Ok, so really a job should be number one on the list. I am sick of being unemployed. Trust me, unemployment is not so glamorous. Especially when I need to start paying off my student loans. Practically everyone graduates in debt right? That's what I thought. So I know I told you I didn't expect you to get my any gifts, I wouldn't turn down employment if you shoved it my way :)
I think that's enough for my wishlist. Maybe I will post more things if I can think of them later. But I hope you all have a wonderful night! Goodnight lovelies! We all need our beauty sleep. Sweet dreams!

Breakfast for Dinner
Good afternoon lovely ladies (and men, if there are any)! I hope you're all doing well today! I have good news! I graduated from physical therapy today! I have tendinitis in my knee, but my therapist said I'm doing well and I don't need to continue coming to therapy! Very excited. To celebrate, I think I'll have some BFD (Breakfast For Dinner). Here's a delicious recipe for healthy pancakes. Sorry for no pictures, but it's not dinner time yet so I can't make them yet. Keep in mind this recipe is only one serving, so if you're cooking for more than one person, you may want to expand the recipe.
Ingredients:
3/4 cup egg whites
2/3 cup chopped strawberries fresh or frozen
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 tsp. sugar substitute
1/2 cup nonfat yogurt
1/4 cup blueberries
1. Beat the egg whites, strawberries, rolled oats, and sugar substitute until smooth.
2. Spray a nonstick skillet with cooking spray. Ladle 1/4 cup of batter into the skillet. Cook around the edges of the pan. When the edges of the pancake start to bubble, push it toward the center of the pan. Cook until batter sets in the middle. Turn the pancake and cook for one more minute.
3. Repeat with remaining batter. Then put on a plate and top with yogurt and blueberries.
Don't those sound delicious?! I think so too. I have to go walk my dog and give her a bath before dinner so I hope you all enjoy the pancakes and have a wonderful day!
xoxo, Morgan

Don't those sound delicious?! I think so too. I have to go walk my dog and give her a bath before dinner so I hope you all enjoy the pancakes and have a wonderful day!

Tighten up!
Good afternoon lovelies! I hope you're feeling energetic today because we're working out! I've got 7 moves that you will LOVE! Ok, maybe you won't love them, but they will whip your butt (and mine) into shape and we're going to do them! So we're starting now!
1.Butt kicks - Run in place, kicking your heels to your butt.
High knees - Run in place, raising knees as high as your can. Do these for one minute each. Repeat in between the other exercises.
2. Calf raises - Stand on the floor or on the edge of a step. If you're on the edge of a step, stand so your heels are hanging off the step. Rise up onto your toes, then slowly lover back down. Repeat for 3 sets of 15-20.
3. Reverse Push-up - Sit with legs straight and hands behind you with fingers facing forward. Push up with heels and arms into a reverse plank position. Raise one leg 6-12 inches off the floor. Lower it without letting it touch the floor. Repeat for 10 reps, then switch legs. You may rest in between sides if needed. Repeat for 3 sets of 10 on each side.
4. Lie on your back with arms at sides and feed up on a chair. Cross left foot over and rest it on right knee. Squeeze butt muscles to raise your back and butt off the floor. Repeat for 3 sets of 15-20.
5. You'll need a couple 5-10 lb. weights for this move. Stand up straight, holding one weight in each hand. Hold arms out straight in front of body. Bend down until your upper body is parallel to the floor. Clench ab muscles to lift upper body and arms back to starting position. Repeat for 3 sets of 20-25.
6. Sit in a chair with back straight and arms at your side. Squeeze a ball between your ankles (if you don't have a ball, you can use a roll of paper towel or a pillow). Raise legs until they are straight out in front of you. Return to starting position. Repeat for 3 sets of 15-20.
7. Balance on left elbow and forearm on the floor. With legs straight out, lift hips into a side plank position. Hold for 30-60 seconds. Repeat on other side. Repeat as many times as you'd like! I suggest 3 times on each side. When this move starts to get easy you can hold a hand weight or a medicine ball at your hip during the move.
Now that we're done with those, we're going to rehydrate, aren't we? YES! So grab a glass of ice water, squirt some lemon in there and relax with a book, magazine, or your favorite TV show. You deserve it, beautiful! Enjoy your beautiful spring day!

Decisions, Decisions!
Hello Beautiful! First off, I want to apologize for such a short post yesterday. Secondly, I want to tell you about my nails. I painted them yesterday. They're orange with one nail a neon purple with a matte finish. I am super into matte finish right now. The one I use is Sephora by O.P.I Matte Top Coat. It works wonderfully.
Here they are. Orange: Sinful Colors Hazard; Purple: Sinful Colors Dream On
I'm also thinking about coloring my hair. I'm not sure what color though. Darker or lighter, I can't decide. That's why I'm going to ask you! I'm much more comfortable when I don't have decisions to make. This picture was taken about a year ago but my hair is about the same exact color right now. So what do you think, darker or lighter?
There's a new trend I'm loving for eyes. Dark purple and gold. It's so pretty! I have to try it soon, and when I do, you better believe I will be showing YOU!
But that's plenty of "beauty" for today, how about fashion!
I need a new swimsuit. Help me decide. Pretty please?! THANKS!
The second is Victoria's Secret Tie Dye Twist Halter Top and Tie Dye Twist Bikini Bottom
The third is Victoria's Secret Maya Twist Bandeau Top with matching bottom
HELP! I love them all!
I'm also watching Friends right now and Monica and Phoebe are making cookie dough. It makes me want cookie dough so badly! Okay, I'm done with my craving for the day! :) Okay, probably not because I'm always craving something. I'm going to wrap this up now. But I hope everyone out there has a fantastic day! Comment and let me know your opinions for the hair and the swimsuits!
P.S. I'm not paid for any of this stuff so anything I post is completely my own opinion!

Lazy Sunday
Sorry this post is so late and going to be so short. I've been so lazy today. I went out last night and saw an old friend so we had tons of fun. Maybe a bit too much, but that's the fun part. I repainted my nails today. Orange with one nail neon purple. I will upload pictures tomorrow. I just picked up my May issue of InStyle yesterday and haven't even opened it. I'm more than slightly disappointed with myself. Mostly for just getting it yesterday, but also for not even looking at it yet. I also really want an ice cream sundae right now, but I know it's so not worth it. So tasty though. I'll probably give up that idea for the night. I am going to continue my marathon of The Office, but I will try to make up for the lazy Sunday with tomorrow's post. Have a great night beautiful readers!

Sugar Scrub Saturday!
Happy Saturday Lovelies! Red lipstick is very in right now. I've never thought it would look good on me, but nevertheless, I gave in. Last night, I bought a cheapo tube of red lipstick. 93 cents!! Cant you believe that?! Well I tried it out last night not expecting much. But...I LOVED IT! So apparently I'm a red lipstick kind of girl. Who knew?! I'm already planning the next colors I'm going to buy. So excited! But, as everyone knows, you can't put lipstick on dry, chapped lips. It just looks bad. So, in honor of my new found love for red lips, I'm going to share a recipe for a lip scrub. It works beautifully and it's super easy.
Mix 1 teaspoon of olive oil and 1 teaspoon of brown sugar. Apply to lips and scrub in a circular motion with your finger or a toothbrush. Wash off with warm water and dry your lips. Apply a lip balm.
Your lips will be vixen-ready in no time. So go get some red lipstick and have fun tonight! You will get so many compliments, you beautiful girl! Just remember to pair those gorgeous red lips with a subtle eye. Don't want to overdo it :) Have a beautiful day!

Lazy Butt Friday
So I woke up today feeling super lazy. So lazy, in fact, that all I wanted to do was stay in bed all day. However, I got my lazy butt out of bed and worked out anyway. Lately, I've been doing Jillian Michaels 30-Day Shred DVD. I also usually go for a brisk 4 mile walk every day. I also work for a while on my abs, about an hour every day. So far today, I've only done the 30-Day Shred DVD but later today I'll probably do the rest If I can get my lazy butt motivated. I've decided that if I make a list of my 5 favorite ab exercises, maybe I'll get the motivation. I will tell you what they are and how to do them. So, here it goes.
1. Reverse Crunch
To do a reverse crunch, you lie on your back with your hands on the floor and your legs in the air in a 90 degree angle. Contract your abs to lift your hips a few inches off the ground, come back down. Do 1-3 sets of 15-18.
2. Vertical Leg Crunch
Lie on your back with your hands by your ears and legs straight in the air. Crunch up keeping your legs in place. Repeat for 1-3 sets of 15-18.
3. Plank
Lie face down, push up onto toes and elbows (or onto your hands for a little bit more difficult exercise). Use your abs to keep your back flat, and don't let your butt sag or stick up. Try to hold for 30-60 seconds. Repeat for 3-5 reps. Just remember, don't feel bad if you can't hold it for that long. You'll work your way up to it.
4. Russian Twist
Sit on the floor with knees bent, feet on the floor (for a slightly harder move, hold feet a few inches off the ground). Keep your back off the ground at an approximate 45 degree angle. Hold arms away from bod, toward legs and move from side to side. Touch the floor on either side. Repeat for 1-3 reps of 20-30.
5. Bicycle Crunch
Lie on back with hands by your ears. Legs up at a 90 degree angle. Crunch up bringing right knee toward chest and lift shoulder blade off the floor, rotating left elbow toward right knee. Repeat with left knee and right elbow. Continue alternating sides for 1-3 reps of 20-25.
Keep in mind, the bicycle crunch is really not one of my favorite moves, but it is the MOST effective. That's why it made the list! Anything worth getting i worth working toward - That's my own little philosophy toward abs. I hope all you beautiful people out there enjoy trying all of these. And remember, with me in mind, that now matter how much a lazy butt mood you're in, you can get a good workout in today! Have a fantastic day and work on those abs! You have no reason not to! :)

Rainy Day Nails!
Hello Beautiful Readers!
Today is so gloomy! It's raining right no, which is not fun. You know what makes me feel better on a rainy day? Painting my nails! I love painting my nails. I can calm me down when I'm stressed, make me happy when I'm mad, and cheer me up when I'm sad. You get the point. Today, I painted my nails a mint green with one nail gold/bronze/copperish color. I'm loving mint right now. I am still searching for the perfect pair of mint jeans. I'm determined! Anyway, back to the point. My nails usually only stay the same color for a day or two because I get bored when things stay the same. So, they may not be mint for long, but I'll love them while they are :) I'm still trying to decide on a color for my toes so any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Here's a picture of my nails, it looks kind of terrible and my cuticles are in horrible shape , so please don't judge :) The colors are Revlon Minted and Pure Ice Fast Lane
Have a lovely day! And add some MINT to your life!

Get to know me!
Hello beautiful readers!
For my first OFFICIAL post I'm going to tell you a little about myself so you can get to know me a little better. I'm 21 years old and I just graduated form college in December with a degree in communications. I'm from a small town in Wisconsin. I LOVE fashion, beauty, and fitness; hence the topic of the blog :) The town I live in reminds me of that line from 'O Brother Where Art Thou' - "Well that's just great. Ain't this place just a geographical oddity, two weeks from everywhere." Well my town seems to be about a year from everywhere - style wise that is. Trends don't catch on here until long after they have passed in other places. So I always feel a little out of place here because I'm usually ahead of others. Hopefully they'll catch up. They will for sure if they read this ;) Aside from fashion, beauty, and fitness, I love movies, music, sports, reading, and my dog. I have a boyfriend named Teddy whom I've been dating for a little over a year and a half. We're both still looking for jobs after graduation, which is annoying. So to fill my free time and share my thoughts and style, I decided to start this blog. That's all for this post, but I'm sure you'll get to know more about me the more I post and the more you read. :) I hope you all have a beautiful day!

This is the beginning of what I hope to be a beautiful friendship. From now on I will be sharing my thoughts, tips, and recommendations on fashion, beauty, and fitness.
